Alkaline Lifestyle
First let’s clean up our bodies, detox with juicing, eat clean, add more alkaline fruits and vegetables into your diet and use cooking methods that will enhance for optimal health.
By planning your meals, in advance, for the week, you can have fast easy foods on the go. Alkaline cooking uses fresh ingredients, avoids refined processed oils, refined sugars, replace acidic foods that are fertiliser for the body’s diseases, pain and ailments. Selecting delicious fresh alkaline produce, like fruits, vegetables, nuts, spices, herbs and seeds are all alkaline and promote wellness to the mind and body. The optimal condition for your body is a balanced environment that is not too acidic and not overly alkaline. Our body should be slightly alkaline with a pH of approximately 7.35.
If your body is overly acidic, you may be more susceptible to certain illnesses. If you find you are experiencing multiple symptoms, it’s time to check your pH and we highly recommend adding more fruits and vegetables into your diet. Acidic body symptoms can be depression, have brain fog, skin irritations, eczema, acne, yeast infections, digestive problems, suffer chronic pain, have sensitive teeth, inflamed gums, inflammation throughout the body, gut problems, bloating, acid reflux, sinus pain, joint pain not caused by injuries, hormonal imbalances, easily catch flus and colds, feel irritable, short of breath, acid reflux, heartburn, overweight, dry skin, fatigue, chronic allergies, suffer constipation or diarrhoea, headache, drowsiness, lack of appetite, burping, persistent hiccups, increased heart rate and/or suffer infections.
You may also become deficient in certain nutrients. An acidic body may need to take minerals such as calcium, potassium and sodium from your bones to neutralise the acid. This can put your body under a lot of strain. Processed foods including fast foods and packaged foods that have more than five ingredients on the label you should avoid. Get back into the kitchen and enjoy cooking nutritious dishes made from fresh ingredients. This is one of the most important activity you can do for your pH and your overall health.
Because of the prevalence of the Western diet and an inactive lifestyle, many people today are acidic. If your acidity gets extreme, it is known as acidosis — a condition which requires urgent medical attention. Acidosis is one of the basic causes of many diseases as it creates a burden on your liver, kidney, digestive tract, heart and affects every cell in your body. If it is mild, you may not notice a problem at first, until you find yourself feeling unwell, tired or suffer pain in many unexpected ways.
Acidic products can be foods, environment and emotional. These include modified and packaged processed foods, cigarettes, trans-fat, coffee, soft drinks, white flour, refined sugar, free radicals in the body, artificial food colourings, drugs and alcohol, lack of exercise, sunscreen lotions, mobile phones radiation, cordials, pesticides, toxins, chemicals, mood swings, additions, cravings, lack of sleep, jealousy, stress, anxiety, depression, arguments and panic attacks.
Only 5% of the population eat enough fruit and vegetables in their diet. The statistics show that 85% of the population will develop one or more chronic diseases and 9 out of 10 people are dying prematurely of a chronic disease, 80% of the population are over-weight or obese, including 1 in 4 children, and over 70% of the population are suffering high stress levels.
90% of your serotonin, your mood regulator is produced in your gut. What you eat will affect how you feel. Adding in healthy choices will elevate your happy hormones.
It’s time to go alkaline in your lifestyle, thoughts, diet, and exercise to gain the happiness, vitality and passion. Detox, eat clean and recharge. When you become more alkaline many of your illness symptoms begin to disappear. Your thoughts will affect your alkalinity too. If you are feeling negative, angry, jealous, sad, depressed, fearful etc these thoughts trigger the neurotransmitters to release chemicals that will have an acid effect on the body. Your body goes into “emergency mode” because it’s in stress. If this happens regularly your mind and body will be affected. Your cortisol hormones also elevate, and this has an acidic effect on the body too.
When the pH balance is maintained the body has a strong resistance against disease. Reduce your stress levels, increase your activities and exercise, adjust your diet and lifestyle for optimal health, happiness and longevity.
